With Apple’s encryption capabilities, it’s impossible to get into an iPhone if you don’t know the passcode. The only option is to completely erase/restore your device and bring it back to a brand new state. You can do this by using recovery mode, iTunes and iCloud.
All these methods will erase all your data including the screen password. However, you can recover your personal data if you were lucky enough to have backed it up before you got locked from your iPhone.

1. Reset passcode via recovery mode
Recovery mode will erase all data on your device including the passcode. The method of putting your device into recovery mode varies by model.
Requirements:
- As the very first step switch off your iPhone before proceeding.
- Connect it to a PC/Mac and open it iTunes or Finder on your desktop
- To the Windows or macOS Mojave (and earlier), open iTunes. To the macOS Catalina (and higher), open Finder.
- If you already have iTunes/Finder running on your desktop, Restart the software Continue.
- Then press and release the following keyboard shortcuts quickly.
For iPhone 8 and newer: The following steps apply to all iPhones with Face ID functionality (iPhone 8 and later models) and the second generation iPhone SE.

- Immediately press and release volume down button

For iPhone 6 and earlier models: The following steps apply to iPhone 6 and earlier models, iPod touch 6th generation and earlier models, and iPhone SE 1st generation.
- Connect iPhone to computer and open it iTunes or Finder.
- Hold down the power switch and home button at the same time.
- Don’t let go of the keys when using the Apple logo.
- Release the keys as soon as you see recovery mode on the screen.
Note: Immediately after 15 minutes, iOS will exit recovery mode automatically and you need to run the above key combinations again to get back into recovery mode.
Restore your iPhone in recovery mode.

- Open iTunes and when asked for a passcode, plug in your phone recovery mode.
