2022 saw some of the coolest gadgets in the most popular categories. Be it the cutting-edge smartphones or the fancy TVs, we’ve seen some great gadgets from different companies at different price points. At HT Tech we had to review almost all of them and here are our favorites. Psst, if you can buy these, go ahead and get them.
Apple iPhone 14 ProMax
The iPhone 14 Pro Max with its Dynamic Island was everyone’s favorite this year. Apple’s novel solution for hiding the camera cutouts impresses us and consumers a lot. Add to that a powerful A16 Bionic chip, an excellent 48MP main camera, an amazing OLED display, and great battery life to back it all up, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is our favorite. Starts at Rs. 139,900.
Google Pixel 7 Pro
The Pixel 7 Pro dazzles us with its stills photography, especially when the sun goes down. No other phone camera can match its color science. That and a gorgeous 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display, beautifully skinned Android 13, and mighty performance make it our favorite Android flagship of 2022. It costs Rs. 84,999.
Samsung Galaxy ZFlip 4
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has to be in this list for its sheer foldability. Having a pair of well-matched cameras on an origami-style tripod is a great camera to take with you. Also, you can fold it up when not needed. The Flip 4 also offers good battery life, a nice 120Hz display and flawless performance from its Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Starts at Rs. 89,999.

A phone with a semi-transparent back and LED “Glyph” lights to decorate it – how can that not be cool? Especially when it starts at Rs. 27,499?

The Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Gen impress with solid ANC performance and a well-tuned audio signature. The case also has its own speaker for battery status notifications and FindMy scanning. However, only recommended with Apple products.
Great TVs
Xiaomi OLED Vision TV
An OLED TV for Rs. 89,999 – that’s cool in itself. And that’s good too. The Xiaomi OLED Vision TV impressed us with its picture quality and an excellent user experience. PatchWall is great for searching for content and its speaker system eliminates the need for an additional soundbar.
Samsung QN95B NeoQLED 4K
It’s breathtakingly expensive at Rs. 2.7 lakhs, but TV lovers can’t get better in this price range. Samsung’s QLED panel is better in color and brightness than competing OLED TVs at this price point. Also, we loved Tizen OS as a smart TV platform; it is well sorted and runs fast.
