Microsoft kicked off the new year with the surprise drop of Stranded Deep to Xbox Game Pass, and two more games could also be added today, according to the Xbox Store.
December went by without a word on games coming to Game Pass in January, but it looks like Microsoft is adding some titles today. You can start collecting the Stranded Deep achievements now, and according to the Microsoft Store, two more games could follow later today.
The Microsoft Store may reveal two games coming to Game Pass today
Stranded Deep was added today to Game Pass and PC Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Mobile via Xbox Cloud Gaming. It’s a first-person survival game that helps you answer the question, “What would you do if you were stranded on a remote tropical island?” It can be played in both single player and co-op with a buddy and currently has a 3.5/5 star rating here on TA.
Also Twitter users MaurinoNL has noted that Square Enix’s Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and The DioField Chronicle could also be added to the service later today. Street Fighter currently has a Game Pass discount and a “Get Game Pass” button on the Xbox Store, and while The DioField Chronicles doesn’t have anything specifically to say it’s coming to Game Pass, MaurinoNL says, “Not 100% sure on DioField, however, the store listing counts down to the Game Pass post-drop time, so nine times out of ten this means it will be added to the Game Pass.
We’ll let you know if and when the two games go on the service, but let us know if you’re hoping to play either!
