Here’s how to get 12 free Nintendo Switch games starting today

The holiday season is fast approaching and Nintendo Switch owners can get some free gifts from publisher No Gravity Games this month. Starting today, any Switch user who owns one of the company’s games can claim a new free game every day for the next 12 days. Pirates: All aboard! is currently discounted at $1.99 on the eShop, but can also be obtained for free by signing up for the company’s newsletter right here. Players who receive this game today can immediately claim the December 5 free game, ie Exorder. Only the next two games have been revealed so far: Graviter (December 6) and Scary story (December 7th).

A trailer for the action is embedded below.

This program has a small catch: users must claim the free game every day to qualify for the next one. That means Switch users are grabbing this Exorder today will not be able to get Scary story on December 7th if they forget graviter on December 6th. However, No Gravity Games has stated that these games will be “heavily discounted” the next day and users can purchase the missed game to be eligible again. The promotion is also only available to users in North America.

All in all, this seems like a pretty cool promotion! Fans will have to judge for themselves whether the games are worthwhile, but this could be a fun way to spot a Nintendo Switch game that’s flown under the radar; fans might even discover something they wouldn’t otherwise have played! Given the sheer number of games sold on the Switch eShop, it’s very easy for good games to get lost in the mix.

Nintendo Switch users can keep up to date with each day’s free release by checking out the official twitter and Facebook accounts for No Gravity Games. Each new title will be announced at 9am CET.
