How do I connect my Apple AirPods to Android devices? Follow these steps

If you thought Apple AirPods were only compatible with iPhones, you are wrong. The tech giant has developed these devices that connect to any Bluetooth device including Android smartphones. If you want to connect to them, follow these steps:

STEP 1: Tap on the Bluetooth Settings option on your Android smartphone or other device.

STEP 2: Turn on Bluetooth and select “Pair New Device”. Now press and hold the setup button on the back of the AirPods case. You must wait about five seconds for the status indicator to start flashing white while the device remains in the charging case.

STEP 3: In the Available Devices section of your Android phone, you can see AirPods Pro. Tap on the name and select the Pair option from the menu.

In a further development, Apple will allow alternative app stores on its iPhones and iPads in the European Union by the end of next year, Bloomberg reported. Though the move could jeopardize the Cupertino-based giant’s services business, its rivals must overcome challenges to convince consumers to leave the safety of Apple’s own app store.

Apple’s planned switch could give a boost to Microsoft, Meta, Amazon and other competitors. The Apple users can install apps without using the brand’s store. However, it is unknown if the iPhone maker will comply with other provisions of EU law including payment schemes, as bypassing its payment tool would threaten billions of dollars in revenue.

According to the report, the European Union’s Digital Marketing Act is set to come into force in mid-2024. It requires big tech giants to open up their systems to competitors to expand consumer choices. The law states that the big tech companies face fines of up to 10 percent of annual global sales for violations.
