Dragon Quest Treasures, released December 9th, is the latest installment and arguably the most intriguing in the Dragon Quest series. Dragon Quest Treasures focuses on treasure hunting across the various islands that make up the continent of Draconia.
According to an interview with Dragon Quest Treasures producer Taichi Inuzuka, the game was designed to be a light-hearted diversion, with gameplay elements like treasure hunts, side quests, and monster scouting intended to be more fun than exhausting.
The crowning glory of Dragon Quest Treasures is that the player takes responsibility for Erik and Mia as they explore and battle Draconia, allowing them to do exactly as they please.
