If like me you’re waiting until the absolute last minute to do your holiday shopping, you’ll be happy to know that Target is running a massive video game holiday sale. Right now you can save up to 60% on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo video games. There are also discounts on accessories, controllers, gift cards and more.
For PlayStation you can save up to 60% on games. For PS5, this means discounts for Horizon Forbidden West, Madden NFL 23, Need for Speed: Unbound, NHL 23, The Last of Us Part 1, New Tales from the Borderlands: Deluxe Edition and more.
Xbox and Nintendo Switch games are up to 50% cheaper. Halo Infinite is just $9.99 (up from $59.99), while Forza Horizon 5, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and Saints Row are also on sale. Like PlayStation, there are many third-party titles on offer such as Madden NFL 23, FIFA 23, NFS Unbound, and more.
Nintendo has been basically discounting its Switch games all month. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Sonic Frontiers are available for $39.99, while Just Dance 2023 Edition can be purchased for $29.99.
While the discounts are attractive, it’s worth noting that many of the in-store games are sold out or in very limited stock. If you choose to have them shipped, chances are they won’t arrive until after the holidays.
If you’re not sure what games your loved ones are into or just need something, then your best bet is a gift card. For Xbox, get 15% off an Xbox Game Pass gift card – and they’re available digitally, so you can buy them in the comfort and convenience of your home.
An Xbox Game Pass Ultimate card is on sale for $12.74 (1 month) or $38.24 (3 months), a savings of 15%. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate provides access to an extensive library of games playable on Xbox consoles or PC. Alternatively there is 3 months PC Game Pass for $25.49 or 6 months Console Game Pass for $50.99. There are no special discounts for PlayStation, but you can get a $10 Target Gift Card with the purchase of a $100 PlayStation Card.
