Microsoft is removing several titles from the Xbox 360 Store

Xbox Games Store is a digital distribution platform available on Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox 360 video game consoles. This service allows users to download or purchase video games, add-ons for existing games, game demos, and other miscellaneous content. Now, Microsoft plans to remove some titles from the Xbox 360 Marketplace. According to a support page on the Xbox website (first spotted by Twitter user Wario64), Microsoft will be removing several games from the Xbox 360 store until February 7th. This means that Xbox 360 console owners will no longer be able to purchase these games after this date. The Twitter post that revealed the upcoming title removals also shared a list of games being removed from the Xbox 360 Store.

Xbox 360 Store Games Removal: More details
The removal of these titles isn’t bad news for the player who already owns the retired games. Players who have already purchased the titles will still be able to download them after February 7th. In addition, these titles will also be available for players who own the Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S consoles. These games will be available on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S stores and will remain purchasable on those platforms.
That doesn’t mean that the digital games listed only on the Xbox 360 Marketplace will no longer be available for purchase in just a week. How buying older video games is getting harder and harder
According to a report by The Verge, Xbox’s global product marketing manager Bree Adams has stated that Xbox 360 owners can access discs or previously downloaded games on their consoles to play the removed titles that are backward compatible. Game manufacturers regularly make it harder to buy older video games.
In almost two months, Nintendo will shut down the eShop for Wii U and 3DS, while Microsoft also delisted several Forza titles. In addition, Sony has also made PS3 and PS3 shopping difficult in 2021 resume stores.
