San Francisco, 12/23 Lawyers for tech giant Microsoft have announced that there are three upcoming games from video game company Bethesda Softworks that will be exclusive to Xbox.
They revealed this in a response to the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) lawsuit against the Activision Blizzard deal, The Verge reports.
“Xbox anticipates that three future titles – REDACTED – all designed to be played primarily solo or in small groups – will be exclusive to Xbox and PC,” reads a passage in Microsoft’s response.
Aside from the third undisclosed game, the tech giant would make Bethesda’s “Starfield” and “The Elder Scrolls VI” exclusive to Xbox and PC, the report said.
For years, the company has made it very clear that it acquires studios to support exclusive Xbox (and Game Pass) products.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, the FTC sued Microsoft for acquiring leading video game developer Activision Blizzard and its blockbuster game Call of Duty for $69 billion.
The FTC had said the deal, the largest in the video game industry to date, would allow Microsoft to edge out competitors for its Xbox gaming consoles and its fast-growing subscription content and cloud gaming business.
