As 2022 draws to a close, Microsoft on Friday unveiled its best Xbox games of 2022 that gamers are hoping to get their hands on to wrap up the year.
Starting with Racing Game of the Year, the latest installment of Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels has been upgraded specifically for the Xbox Series X/S.
With photorealistic graphics, authentic sounds, a lifelike environment and immense detail, it sets the tone for next-gen gaming.
Next in line is “Sea of Thieves”, in which players can sail the open seas as a pirate with other shipmates, plunder islands, attack a gigantic kraken and sink other ships.
“Grounded,” which tells the story of a shrunken teenager trying to return to his normal size while navigating Grounded’s reactive world, is one of the best survival games of the year, the company said.
With new creatures, locations and surprises, it will test the creative abilities of the players.
Packed with horror, action and power, Gears 5 gives players the satisfaction of fast reloading, while the engaging storytelling, shooting mechanics and excellent graphics give the game an edge.
The sixth entry in the franchise and the direct sequel to Gears of War 4, the third-person shooter game continues the story of the Coalition of Ordered Government (COG) struggle against an enemy force – the Swarm.
Finally, inspired by medieval art and weaving an unsurpassed narrative, Pentiment lets players mold their character into everything from a devout theologian to a rebellious hooligan set in 16th-century Italy.
This deep story-telling game has charm and appeal from and for the ages, the company said.
