Turkish mobile games studio Ace Games has secured a $25 million investment from Israeli investor Playtika in exchange for a minority stake in its business.
Founded in 2020, Ace Games is working on a mobile game title, Fiona’s Farm, billed as an amalgamation of farming, decoration, and narrative gameplay.
It’s also a match 3 game, meaning the player can expect some brain teasers and puzzle-solving mechanics that will help Fiona’s Farm engage with fans across the spectrum of mobile games.
Ace Games CEO Hakan Bas previously launched mobile games studio Peak Games, which was sold in 2020 for $1.8 billion to a Turkish buyer in the form of social games company Zynga, a deal first owned by the owner was reported by Tech.eu Webrazzi.
Playtika CEO Robert Antokol said his company is aiming for a portfolio “to gain access to high-growth gaming intellectual property in a cost-effective way.”
Founded in 2010, Playtika now offers a range of free-to-play games that can usually be played via social networks but are also available on mobile devices.
“Ace’s talented team has created a superior and innovative product based on the ‘Match-3 and Meta’ game model,” said Antokol.
“Playtika is a great complement to Ace with our LiveOps and Digital Studio capabilities, leveraging our enhanced monetization and gaming leadership in mobile gaming.”
