New PlayStation game for PC apparently teased by developer

It looks like PlayStation’s next big game for PC has been teased by a prominent developer. Throughout 2022, Sony continues to have some of its biggest titles like God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collectionand Sackboy: A great adventure to the PC. And while it stands to reason that Sony won’t continue doubling down on PC until 2023, we now have a better idea of a PS5 and PS4 title that could hit the platform soon.

In a discussion with GT Planet, Polyphony Digital President Kazunori Yamauchi teased that the Gran Turismo series could be coming to PC in the future. Though Yamauchi hasn’t directly said this will be something, the longtime creator of the popular racing series said it’s being considered within Polyphony Digital.

“Yeah, I think so,” Yamauchi said clearly when asked about Gran Turismo coming to PC. “Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title. There aren’t many platforms that could natively run the game in 4K/60p, so we’re making that possible by narrowing the platform. It’s not a very simple subject, but of course, we’re investigating it and considering it.”

If Gran Turismo has made it to PC, the latest installment in the series, Gran Turismo 7, is certainly the game that will end up being ported. Mainly, GT7 was well received by critics and fans alike when it launched earlier this year. Since then, some have asked for PlayStation to bring the game to PC next. It remains to be seen if this actually comes to fruition, but the fact that Yamauchi has expressed interest in the idea makes it seem like an excellent possibility.
