PlayStation Plus January 2023 games: It’s been around half a year since Sony PlayStation merged PlayStation Plus with PlayStation Now to create a monthly subscription service akin to XBox Game Pass. Every month PlayStation Plus offers new games for all tiers – Essential, Extra and Premium. Essential, the lowest category, gets three new game titles each month, while Extra and Premium get a larger catalog to play along with all the titles in Essential. Now, the January 2023 Plus games have already leaked online, bringing some interesting titles to the service like Star Wars: Fallen Order, Fallout 76, and Axiom Verge 2.
The list of leaked games was reported by Express, which also claimed that the games will be officially unveiled by Sony tomorrow, December 28th. The games will be available to play for all subscribers to the PlayStation Plus service from January 6th. However, you should still wait for the official confirmation to really know if these games will be part of the subscription plan or not.
Star Wars: Fallen Order
This game will be the PlayStation Plus headline for January when it is actually announced. The game’s sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is slated for release in March 2023, and it seems like it could be the right game to spark interest in the franchise. Released by Electronic Arts in 2019, the action-adventure game is the first in the series and is set five years after Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. It follows Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis, who becomes a target of the Galactic Empire and is hunted by the Imperial Inquisitors across the galaxy. Now Kestis must complete his training without getting caught and find a way to rebuild the fallen order.
Fallout 76
Fallout 76, a 2018 action RPG game by Bethesda Softworks and part of the Fallout series, could join Fallen Order. It is also the prequel to the previously released games and the studio’s first multiplayer game. The game takes place in an open world torn apart by a nuclear war.
