Redfall is set to be released in May 2023 exclusively for Xbox

San Francisco, January 2 (IANS): The Xbox-exclusive game Redfall is reportedly due out in early May this year, likely in its first week.

Redfall is being developed by Arkane Studios, which Microsoft acquired with its 2021 acquisition of ZeniMax Media, Windows Central reports.

Redfall will be joining the game Starfield as part of the tech giant’s big lineup of Xbox and PC gaming consoles.

In the open-world action game Redfall, up to four friends can join a drop-in coop to help rid the island town of a deadly vampire infection.

Additionally, the developer emphasizes that players who want a more traditional Arkane experience can still enjoy the immersive sim solo gameplay the studio is known for, the report said.

In March 2021, the European Commission approved Microsoft’s $7.5 billion deal to acquire ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, one of the largest private game developers and publishers in the world.

Meanwhile, the tech giant’s lawyers announced last month that three upcoming games from Bethesda Softworks will be Xbox exclusives.
