@Kaloudz I personally hate the english dub in new yakuza games. Part of that is that the voices they pick are awful… As in LAD for Ichiban, his Japanese va portrays him as an excited, wacky, kinda wacky character that fits his art and animations. The English va portrays him as this dry, straight, intense hero. It’s just not the right character.
No, it’s also a game set in Tokyo and it has all the Japanese characters in a very Japanese life and it’s just wrong when they don’t really speak Japanese and even weirder when they sound like they’re from North Dakota .
Though I feel the same about Ghost of Tsushima. Every time I hear an English sub I want to cut my ears out even though in this game at least the sub has Japanese accents.
I haven’t played judgment yet. I bought it but haven’t started yet so can’t tell how it is. I still have to finish zero!
