In the blog post, Kazunori Yamauchi, the President of Polyphony Digital, shared a few words about the upcoming free VR update for Gran Turismo 7 owners and teased a bit about what fans can expect.

“We are thrilled that Gran Turismo 7 will be a launch title for PS VR2! With a free upgrade, players who have already purchased Gran Turismo 7 can experience all the cars and tracks in VR like never before,” said Yamauchi. “GT7 in VR takes full advantage of the next-generation features of PS VR2. With eye-tracking and foveated rendering, players will experience stunning visual fidelity as they drive in one of over 450 cars. While 2-player split-screen racing is not supported in VR, all other racing, including online racing, will be available. From the Nürburgring to Tsukuba, circuits can be experienced exactly as they are in real life.”

Sony noted that this final introductory software “is subject to change without notice.” Additionally, IGN is confirming with certain developers whose games are not on this list but have indicated intentions to launch alongside PS VR2 such as Among Us 2 and will update as soon as we hear about it.
