Many of the titles on offer are either new Xbox exclusives or games that have been around for a while but are only now making their way to Game Pass. However, with over 400 games to choose from, it can be difficult to determine which ones are worth your time – especially as time is limited around the holidays.
Here’s a list of Xbox games to get you started.
Xbox has partnered with EA to make its games available on Game Pass through EA Play. Not only can you play the original Dead Space trilogy, almost every Battlefield game, and every Mass Effect game, but you can also play Dragon Age: Inquisition, one of the best Western RPGs released in the last decade. It has action, drama, romance, betrayal, and a decision-making mechanism that makes your decisions seem important.

In Pentiment you play as a journeyman craftsman from the 16th century dealing with farmers, traders and of course the almighty Church. During the game you make decisions that weigh heavily on your conscience and affect the life and fate of those around you. Although I didn’t enjoy Pentiment as much as others, I couldn’t stop myself from playing for almost 15 hours, so it’s totally worth a try.

You fight evil, selfish adults in their egomaniac mind palaces while dealing with all the stress and anxiety that teenage years bring. There’s a diverse and engaging ensemble of friends, classmates, and others to help you (including a horny cat to talk).

Almost every Yakuza game is available in Game Pass. That’s all there is to it; that’s all you need to know. Every game from Yakuza 0 to Like a Dragon is available now. Still need some convincing? Imagine you’re a rampant gangster patrolling the bright but narrow streets of Tokyo’s red-light district, pounding yakuza thugs while giving sex workers sex-positive advice and starting your thriving real estate business.
Umurangi generation
Umurangi Generation is a scary game that simulates what happens when a group of teenagers at the end of the world are given a camera. You’ll be given a camera and instructions on what subjects to photograph, then dropped off at various locations to complete your tasks. Players are free to roam the planet, take photos, and learn about the alien menace that has come to destroy the world through posters and other forms of indirect storytelling.
