WhatsApp will no longer work on these smartphones from December 31: here is the complete list

Popular messaging app — Whatsapp will reportedly stop working on some Android Cell phones and iPhones starting this week. WhatsApp will end support for some of the old smartphone models on December 31, 2022.
As reported by GizChina, the list of obsolete devices includes 49 smartphones Apple, Samsung, LG and others. On its official support page, WhatsApp has mentioned that the app supports Android smartphones with OS version 4.1 and newer and iOS Smartphones with iOS 12 and higher. Smartphones running KaiOS 2.5, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2, also support WhatsApp.
“To keep up with the latest technological advances, we routinely discontinue support for older operating systems in order to refocus our resources on supporting the latest operating systems. If we stop supporting your operating system, you will be notified and reminded several times to update your device to continue using WhatsApp,” WhatsApp mentioned on its blog.

What happens if your operating system is no longer supported?
Before we end support for your operating system, you will be notified directly in WhatsApp in advance and reminded a few times to upgrade.
