Xbox Game Pass has confirmed a full batch of 44 games for next year

Xbox Game Pass has already confirmed 44 games for 2023, including 7 with actual release dates, and it should be a strong year for the service.


Xbox Game Pass graduated in 2022, and so long Rainbow Billy was the last game added, high in life was certainly a highlight for December. It quickly became the most popular game on Xbox Game Pass and was one of the biggest launches of the year. But in the downtime waiting for Microsoft to confirm games for January 2023, it’s worth highlighting how many games have already been confirmed.


Deriving from a plethora of announcements, Xbox Game Pass has already confirmed 44 games for next year. This includes five Xbox Game Pass games for January 2023 (Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, Monster Hunter Rise, Age of Empires 2, and Inculinati), a game for February (atomic heart)and a game for March (Wo Long: The Fallen Dynasty). This is a strong start to the year, but also just a drop in the bucket, Xbox Game Pass.

List of new Xbox Game Pass games for 2023

The most anticipated games among those that don’t have a release date yet are arguably starfield, redfall, and Hollow Knight: Silk Song. The first two are first-party Microsoft games through Bethesda, with redfall be Left 4 dead/Borderlands-like shooter focused on vampires death loop Developer Arkane Studios and Starfield is a space exploration role-playing game by Bethesda Game Studios. In the meantime, Hollow Knight: Silk Song is a popular indie sequel that many have been waiting for. In fact, there hasn’t been any serious news about it since Hollow Knight: Silk Song has been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass. According to that announcement, it’s set to launch in the first six months of 2023, but it’s hard to say if that’s still the same goal.

Xbox Game Pass release dates have been confirmed for the following games:

  • Persona 3 Portable – January 19 – Console, PC
  • Persona 4 Golden – January 19 – Console, PC
  • Monster Hunter Rise – January 20th – Console, PC
  • Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition – January 31 – Cloud, Console
  • Inculinati – January 31st – Console
  • Atomic Heart – February 31 – Console
  • Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – March 3 – Console, PC

The following are confirmed for Xbox Game Pass but do not have a release date as of this writing.

Of course, those two Bethesda games and Hollow Knight are far from the only games that have fans flocking to the service. The cooperative nature of Walheim Bodes well for the launch of Game Pass, and Ghostwire: Tokyo will likely come to Xbox (and Game Pass) sometime in 2023, if not fully confirmed yet. Minecraft Legends basically speaks for itself with the popularity of the franchise.

Ultimately, Xbox Game Pass has always offered something for everyone; There’s no indication that Xbox Game Pass additions will be any different in 2023.
