A few weeks have passed since TENAA released details on the Redmi 11A, another upcoming budget smartphone from Xiaomi. Since the smartphone also appeared in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Xiaomi seemed to have an international release planned, but not necessarily a global one. However, a new IMDA database listing confirms there will also be a global model, with the trio certified as follows:
- Worldwide – 22120RN86G
- China-22120RN86C
- India – 22120RN86I
In short, these model numbers underline that Xiaomi has prepared three variants of the same core smartphone. Although IMDA does not confirm where Xiaomi plans to sell the global version of the Redmi 11A, its predecessor was available in multiple markets and not just Singapore. Therefore, it seems likely that Xiaomi will repeat this release strategy with the newer model.
Based on previous certification documents, all Redmi 11A variants will launch with a 6.7-inch IPS display, but only with a 720p (1,650 x 720) display. In addition, the smartphone offers up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10 W fast charging. A 50 MP main camera should be on board as well as a 5 MP front camera. Unfortunately, the SoC powering the Redmi 11A remains a mystery, aside from the fact that its CPU cores will be clocked at up to 2GHz.
