In a recent announcement, PlayStation 5 (PS5) listed a number of exclusive games to be released in 2023. Launched in 2020, the PlayStation 5 is an indoor video game console made by Sony and is the successor to the PlayStation 4, which was launched in 2020 and 2019.
Games like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Elden Ring, Returnal and several others have been the most played games on PS5 over the years. Once again, PS5 is ready to launch more exclusive games on its platform. The new series of exclusive games will include sequels, IPs (characters, words or franchises), VR titles and more.

Final Fantasy 16 or FF16 from the Japanese production group Square Enix is ​​an action role-playing game. It will feature fast-paced, real-time combat involving both mass and magic attacks. FF16 will also feature segmented open environments. FF16 aims to be a single player game.
FF16 takes place in a place shared by six nations called Valisthea. Characters include Clive Rosefield, the First Shield of Rosaria who aims to protect his younger brother, the dominant phoenix Eikon.
FF16 is scheduled to be released on June 22, 2023 for PS5. The Final Fantasy 16 prequel was released for PS4 in 2016.

- Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Remake Part 2)
Final Fantasy VII was released by Square Enix in 1997 and is a Japanese role-playing game (RPG). In 2020, Square brought the classic Final Fantasy 7 Remake and enhanced the RPG experience. Part remake, part sequel, Final Fantasy 7 Remake expands the first few hours of the original RPG into a full game with multiple twists.
Now PlayStation has teased the launch of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Remake Part 2), which is exclusive to the platform and is a sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be a game where Cloud and the gang leave Midgar for good and may have more characters from the original RPG. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will also provide a deeper look into the story of Cloud, Tifa and Sephiroth. According to reports, those who haven’t played the previous games can still play the Rebirth (Remake Part 2) version of the planned Final Fantasy 7 trilogy.
The exclusive Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Remake Part 2) is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 around winter 2023 (December 2023 to March 2024). For the time being, PlayStation 5 has not released any further details.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the next game in the most popular Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise for PlayStation. This latest PlayStation 5 exclusive is developed by Insomniac Games in partnership with Marvel Games and PlayStation. Marvel released the first Spider-Man game for PS4 back in 2019.
Spider-Man 2 is a single player game themed around Peter Parker and Miles Morales confronting their enemy Venom. Spider-Man 2 is intended to be an open world action game with new and returning abilities for the Spider-Men.
Marvel plans to launch the latest Spider-Man 2 game sometime in fall 2023. More details from PlayStation about Spider-Man 2 are not yet known.
- Horizon’s Call of the Mountain (VR)
With the launch of Sony’s highly anticipated PSVR2 headset in February 2023, PS5 is also releasing Horizon Call Of The Mountain. Developed by Guerrilla Games, Horizon Call Of The Mountain will be a virtual reality based gaming experience.
Released in 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn was a smash hit on PS4. Unlike Horizon’s Zero Dawn, the current Call Of The Mountain isn’t an RGP game. The Horizon Call Of The Mountain is a single player game that requires PlayStation VR2 and PS VR2 Sense controllers. The game can be played in three VR styles – sitting, standing, roomscale.
With the PSVR2, one can enjoy features like 4K HDR display, headset feedback, Tempest 3D AudioTech, finger touch recognition, haptic feedback and more.

- Season: A Letter to the Future
Season: A Letter To The Future, developed by Scavengers Studio, is an atmospheric third-person perspective bicycle road trip adventure game. The game is set on the theme where the player has to explore, record, meet people and unravel the world. Season: A Letter To The Future is a single player game that requires the player to have a vibration function and a trigger effect.
This PS5 exclusive game takes advantage of the 3D audio and haptic feedback of Dual Sense in the console. Season: A Letter To The Future is strictly a console exclusive.
